CAMBO, Inc. is a nonprofit sports club established in 2003 to increase
mountain biking opportunities in Culpeper, Virginia, and surrounding
areas. Our members are committed to trail building, low-impact
riding, user-landowner cooperation, and innovative trail management.
Although
off-road cycling is our main focus, we welcome members who
share our appreciation of the outdoors through hiking, running,
dog walking, bird
watching, cross-country skiing, and similar activities. Members
organize a variety of recreational and social Club
Events.
CAMBO leases the 335-acre Burke Farm in Rixeyville, where members
enjoy about 10 miles of buff singletrack through fields and woodlands.
Difficulty level ranges from beginner to expert. CAMBO has also
recently opened mountain bike trails on county land off Rt. 522
west of Culpeper. Trails in both locations are open to CAMBO members
only.
Membership is a bargain
at just $25 for adults and $10 for youth (under 18). All memberships
run on a calendar
year basis (January to December).
